Ezra & Louie at Princess Bay | Wellington Weddings

Ezra and Louie’s Princess Bay adventure was the kind of day that felt completely, unapologetically them, windswept, full of love, and set against one of Wellington’s wildest coastlines.

As the sun started to dip, we made our way down to the rugged shores for their wedding photos, where the wind was doing its absolute best to keep things interesting. Hair was flying, dress was flowing, the ocean was crashing against the rocks, and honestly… it couldn’t have been more perfect. It gave their wedding photos that beautiful, windswept feeling I absolutely love.

There’s something pretty special about Princess Bay, especially when you’re there with two people who are happy to just embrace whatever the evening throws at them. We wandered, laughed and explored the coastline together, letting things unfold naturally, without worrying too much about the wind.

The rugged coastline and moody skies gave us plenty to work with, but it was the way Ezra and Louie were together that made these photos so special. They were completely wrapped up in each other, effortlessly affectionate and never afraid to have a bit of fun. There were big belly laughs, little glances and plenty of movement in between, which made capturing them feel so easy and natural.

These Wellington wedding photos were such a beautiful reminder of why I love photographing couples in places like Princess Bay. You might get dreamy golden-hour light, dramatic skies or a wonderfully moody evening like this one, but whatever the weather decides to do, it becomes part of your story.

For Ezra and Louie, it was an evening that was a little windswept, a little wild and completely theirs. And honestly, they wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
